Nichole was raised in Bonney Lake, Washington. She began her legal career in New Orleans, Louisiana where she worked in legal aid and in the Orleans Parish Criminal Court. After admission to the Washington bar, Nichole moved back to the PNW and immediately began representing clients at a fast-paced criminal defense firm. She quickly advanced at the firm by demonstrating a strong work ethic and delivering results for her clients in court.
Nichole works with clients facing State and Federal criminal charges. She is not afraid to take cases to trial and has successfully defended clients in jury trials for misdemeanors and serious felony charges, obtaining several Not Guilty verdicts.
Nichole is a trusted counselor and advisor to every client. She excels in her ability to help clients successfully navigate difficult circumstances and resolve challenging problems. Nichole understands the unique obstacles and collateral consequences that her clients are facing. She believes that every client has an important story and that every case has an angle.
Nichole started Lake Tapps Legal in November 2022. Nichole brings a fresh perspective in her approach to the practice of law and aims to make the criminal justice system more accessible and fair. Lake Tapps Legal has implemented systems and cultivated a culture that ensures a truly client-focused experience.
Nichole is a fierce advocate for her clients and fights to protect their rights, advance their interests, and obtain the best possible outcome. She has developed a trusted reputation with her clients, peers, and in the community.
When Nichole is not practicing law, she enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Bentley.

Julianna Leach
PARALEGAL
Julianna was born and raised in a surfer town in California. She moved to Tacoma to complete her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Puget Sound in 2015. After graduating as a History major, she floundered for a year working in the food service industry before finding her passion in Criminal Defense in 2019. She started her career at Puget Law Group as a Filing Clerk and worked her way up to become their Treatment and Department of Licensing Coordinator. She then tried her hand at Public Defense work as a Legal Assistant at the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel before coming to Lake Tapps Legal.
She enjoys spending time with her cat and reading romance novels while she is not assisting those charged with criminal offenses.
